Native Wild Flowers
Bees are happy when you plant native wild flowers in your yard. Like other native plants, they do not require extra care. Although many are annuals, they reseed and spread quickly. Several in the Native Plant Garden are blooming now. Coreopsis is the state wild flower of Florida and blooms nowhere else in the world. Seaside goldenrod is full of blooms. Pollinators are attracted to them as nectar plants. Beach sunflowers bloom all year and are an attractive spreading ground cover. Blanket flower, Gaillardia, is drought tolerant and reseeds itself generously.
Landscape with Florida native wild flowers and plants. They provide nectar for bees, curb water use, reduce air pollution and beautify roadsides and gardens. Go native!
