Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers and the generous support of the Grand Harbor community, Audubon Day was a huge success! Our Program Committee, led by Kathy Phillips and Cindi Brunner, and assisted by Rose Virgin orchestrated the tennis, pickleball, golf, and dinner flawlessly. They have been the first to acknowledge the wonderful support they received from the Club and the many volunteers who pitched in throughout the day. All the proceeds will be used for programs and activities here in Grand Harbor. We have a great season planned, so come join us.

The Annual Audubon Welcome Back party was hosted by Cindi Francavillo and Mike Brunner. We were treated to their generous and amazing hospitality. It was such a great evening and introduction to our organization for many new members. - Debbie Lindsey

Grand Harbor Audubon held its live animal presentation on Monday, January 8th. Our guest speaker was Tim Brown, Education Director from Treasure Coast Wildlife Center in Palm City.
The ambassador animals that Tim shared with the 75 in attendance were an alligator, crocodile and Great horned owl. We believe Tim’s work and the knowledge he shared will be extremely valuable in our community as we work to do our part to help preserve Florida’s wildlife.

We had a great day for our first set of bird walks on 2/10/2024. We met at Spoonbills for coffee and pastries to get us started. Our first group, led by Naturalist Heather Stapleton, left at 7:00 am. This was followed by our second group at 7:30 am, led by our own team of Brad Allin and Deb Fletcher. Both groups walked for about 1.5 hours on our beautiful golf course and in our community to spot the many species of birds we see and get to enjoy at Grand Harbor.
Our first group sighted thirty different species of birds and our second group sighted 33 species of birds. We also held bird walks on 2/17/2024. Both very good days!
